Leaning Ladder announces its second season of Kid’s Cooking Camps!

This summer, children in the age groups of 4-6, 7-11 and 12-17 years old can participate in week long classes to learn cooking and baking skills from around the world and around the corner, always with safety in mind!

We are located at 105 East Main Street, Suites 116 & 126 (behind the gazebo), Downtown Woodstock.

ONE DAY CAMP: Friday, May 29th 2020
Hours: 9:30-3:30pm (FULL DAY CAMP – ONE DAY)
Ages: 7-12

Title: S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) in the Kitchen

Description:  What do cooking and S.T.E.A.M have in common? More than you might think. S.T.E.A.M learning can happen every day in small moments as we slow down to observe and ask questions. Grab an apron, preheat the oven, and start wondering.

Rate:  Tier 1- $65/camper, Tier 2 – $75/camper,  Tier 3 – $85/camper

Description:  Exploring foods found in Disney movies.  Beignets with Princess & the Frog, Tea Time with Alice and Mad Hatter, Spa-ghetti & Meatballs with Lady and the Tramp, and so much more.

Rate:  Tier 1- $435/camper, Tier 2 – $465/camper,  Tier 3 – $495/camper

Week 2: June 8th – June 12th
Hours: 9:30-12:30pm
Ages: 7-11

Title:  Woodstock Bake-Off with Chef Michelle

Description:  Popovers to Pizza and everything in-between.  Savory and sweet palates will be satisfied this week.

Rate:  Tier 1- $225/camper, Tier 2 – $250/camper,  Tier 3 – $275/camper

Hours: 1:30-4:30pm
Ages: 12-17

Title:  Restaurant Re-Makes

Description:  Taking restaurant classics and favorites and putting our own Leaning Ladder spin on them.  Taking culinary skill and interest to new heights.

Rate:  Tier 1- $225/camper, Tier 2 – $250/camper,  Tier 3 – $275/camper

Week 3: June 15th – June 19th
Hours: 9:30 -12:30pm
Ages: 7-11

Title:  No Passport Required

Description: Expand kitchen confidence and palates as campers explore cuisines from around the globe. Sensational spices meets delectable desserts and everything in between, this week will be colorful, tasty and memorable.

Rate:  Tier 1 – $225/camper, Tier 2 – $250/camper, Tier 3 – $275/camper

Instructor: TBD

Hours: 1:30-4:30pm
Ages: 12-17

Title:  No Passport Required

Description: They’ll feel like a Food Network star competing on their own version of Chopped! Each day will reveal “mystery” ingredients that our young chefs will need to incorporate as they work together in small teams with rotating jobs to create appetizer, entree and dessert courses.

Rate:  Tier 1 – $225/camper, Tier 2 – $250/camper, Tier 3 – $275/camper

Hours: 1:30 -4:30pm 
Ages: 12-17

Title:  The Market Basket

Title:  Build Your Own Restaurant

Description: Have your kids dreamed and wondered what it would be like to start a restaurant or bakery? In this camp, kids will work in teams with their chefs to design their very own restaurant concept, menu and logo. They will test recipes and learn about how a restaurant operates and jobs in the restaurant industry.

Rate:  Tier 1 – $225/camper, Tier 2 – $250/camper, Tier 3 – $275/camper

Week 8: July 20th – July 24th
Hours: 9:30-12:30pm
Ages: 4-6

Title:  Itty Bitty

Description: Little kids, BIG flavors. This camp is just for the wee ones. Where fun and engaging meets tasty outcomes. These little chefs will be mixing it up all week long as their confidence and interest grows in the kitchen.

Rate:  Tier 1 – $225/camper, Tier 2 – $250/camper, Tier 3 – $275/camper

Title:  Build Your Own Restaurant

Description: Have your kids dreamed and wondered what it would be like to start a restaurant or bakery? Description: Think Yeti Loves Spaghetti, Banana Split Kit, Green Eggs and Ham, Stone Soup and other literary favorites, these books come alive as our little chefs prepare meals inspired by books and beyond.

Rate:  Tier 1 – $435/camper, Tier 2 – $465/camper, Tier 3 – $495/camper
